MAY 1, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; and Via Webex: <br />Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, Human <br />Resource Director; and Via Webex: Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Neil <br />Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the <br />Board II; Ken Harper, Attorney for the Washington Counties Risk <br />Pool; and Chuck Boyd, Deputy Director of Risk & Claims for the <br />Washington Counties Risk Pool. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to <br />consider Planning Updates – COVID-19. <br /> RESOLUTION 2020-093 ELECTED OFFICIALS SALARIES HUMAN RESOURCES <br />Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-093, Setting <br />Salaries for Elected Officials, Specifically, Commissioner Districts <br />1 & 2 for the Term 2021-2024. Commissioner Wright seconded. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> LETTER GOVERNOR INSLEE COMMISSIONERS <br />Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve a Letter to Governor Jay Inslee, <br />relating to how residential construction can operate safely <br />following COVID-19 worksite-specific safety practices. Commissioner <br />Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION LITIGATION COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:20 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session for 15 minutes with the following via Webex: <br />Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Ken <br />Harper, Attorney for the Washington Counties Risk Pool; and Chuck <br />Boyd, Attorney for the Washington Counties Risk Pool, to discuss <br />with legal counsel representing the agency matters relating to <br />agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel <br />representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which <br />the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official <br />capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge
