2019-03-26 MINUTES 1  <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />FINANCE STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />TUESDAY 9:00 AM March 26, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Laura Osiadacz Commissioner, Vice-Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith was absent. <br />Others: Jerry Pettit, County Auditor; Amy Mills, County Treasurer; Heather Seibert, Deputy Treasurer <br />and Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager. <br />EOC FUNDING <br />The Sheriff’s office called for the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) to be set up to coordinate the <br />planning/operations of the Sheriff’s office with all outside agencies, due to the tragic shooting incident. <br />This event pulled several staff members from other offices that assisted in the EOC. Pless indicated the <br />Board of County Commissioners had not declared an emergency, and no external funding is authorized, <br />discussion occurred about billing the Sheriff’s Department. The Board authorized the assisting County <br />departments to bill the Sheriff’s office for their staff time. <br />NEW COURTHOUSE DISCUSSION <br />Pless presented to the Board a white paper on the financing of the New Courthouse recommending <br /> the Board propose the funding of the New Courthouse be presented on a ballot for the vote of the <br />people to fund the project; <br /> the Board create a committee to coordinate which offices would be located in the new <br />Courthouse, Public Works Administrative Building/County Shop or the Old Courthouse and then <br />make a recommendation to the Board. <br /> the Board hire a consultant to coordinate the committee and assist with the public involvement. <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:35 AM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Judy Pless Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
