12/03/2018 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:50 A.M. DECEMBER 3, 2018 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie O’Brien & Commissioner Cory Wright. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Clerk of the Board. REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD SOLID WASTE Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager presented & reviewed a request for her signature on a Grant Amendment with the Department of Ecology and also asked for the Board to give direction on the use of 900 Alder Street. AMENDMENT GRANT – DOE W2RLSWFA-1719-KiCoSW-00033 SOLID WASTE Commissioner O’Brien moved to approve and authorize Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager to sign Amendment No.1 to Agreement No. W2RLSWFA-1719-KiCoSW-00033 between the State of Washington Department of Ecology and Kittitas County Solid Waste. Commissioner Wright seconded. It was noted that Ms. Johnson was to provide a fully executed original to the Board of County Commissioners Staff. Motion carried 3-0. DISCUSSION 900 ALDER DIRECTION SOLID WASTE The Board discussed options for the use of 900 Alder and Commissioner Wright and Chairman Osiadacz were in support of renting the house at 900 Alder. They indicated that they would support offering it to rent to a current County Employee, but have it managed and rented through Accolade the acting Property Manager. Or the other option would be to just put it on the market for rent through the County’s Property Manager Accolade.
