They provided handouts and reviewed materials relating to the Yakima <br />Basin Integrated Plan. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director & Chairman Osiadacz discussed salaries and benefits. Ms. Young <br />reported on the County’s new medical insurance provider figures and stated that we are currently <br />at 52% of what’s being collected which is great and if we can continue this way it’s going to be a <br />very positive outcome for the County and how we are rated. She stated that she anticipates more <br />meetings in the future to do further review but things are looking good. She reviewed the work <br />that the Elected Official Salary Committee did and what the Board adopted and how it will be <br />implemented. She stated that CPI for 2019 will be approximately 2.6% increase and briefly <br />reviewed legislative impacts that will be mandatory. She stated as they learn more she will get <br />the information out. <br /> <br />Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager and Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director gave an update on Capital Projects throughout the County. Ms. Johnson reminded the <br />Management Team to work with them on any “projects” wanted within each department so that <br />Maintenance can budget to try & accommodate them. She stated that they have had some <br />meetings with the Courthouse Architect and the Board is looking at some new approaches to try <br />and accomplish the need for a new Courthouse. She stated that they received state funding for <br />Bloom Pavilion at the Fairgrounds and she thinks they have a Transfer Station site determined. <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director provided an update on County Road projects, the Airport, as <br />well as bridge work projects in the County.
