NOVEMBER 30, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Manager; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Diana MacKenzie, Upper <br />District Court Administrator; Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director; <br />Clay Myers, Undersheriff; Gene Dana, Sheriff; Heather Seibert, Chief <br />Financial Manager; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; <br />Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Michael Stafford, Juvenile Court <br />Administrator; Kari Elkins, JCA Assistant; Elishia Harvill, Office <br />Administrator; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager; Barb Demory, Lower District Court <br />Administrator; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Sue Higginbotham, <br />Administrative Assistant; Tip Hudson, Extension Agent; Robin Read, <br />Public Health Administrator; Jim Goeben, IT Director and 1 member of <br />the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING 2018 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 8:30 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to review the <br />2018 preliminary budget. <br /> <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager, provided the latest budget <br />information with proposed cuts from various departments. Departments <br />provided further budget reductions and additional revenue. <br /> <br />The Board agreed to forgo a contribution to the Rainy Day Fund in <br />2018; approve a 2% increase for non-union employee salaries <br />effective January 1, 2018; and to increase Elected Officials <br />salaries by 3% because they weren’t included in the recent salary <br />survey and adjustments.
