OCTOBER 17, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Joann Schaan, Developmental Disabilities Program Coordinator; <br />Kasey Knutsen, Health Promotion Supervisor; Judy Pless, Finance Manager; <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the <br />Board II; Debbie Myers, Board Clerk; and approximately 14 members of the <br />public. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />Devin Powers was introduced who is a student from Kittitas High School. <br />He is job shadowing Commissioner Osiadacz. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION NATIONAL DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT AWARENESS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Proclamation declaring October <br />2017 as National Disability Employment Awareness Month in Kittitas <br />County. Commissioner O’Brien seconded. Motion carried 3-0. It was noted <br />a copy of the signed Proclamation would be placed on the Commissioners <br />Facebook page. <br /> <br />AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS – NONE <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell noted Consent Item G had been removed from the Agenda <br />and an item had been added to Administrative Matters.
