COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />FRIDAY 4:00 PM MARCH 13, 2015 <br />Board members present: Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien, Paul Jewell <br /> <br />Others: Lisa Young, William Holmes, Judge Hurson, Lindsey <br />Buntin, Carrie Panattoni, Diane Austin, Leslie Carollo <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />1) Call to Order – 4:00 PM <br /> <br />2) Recruitment (subject discussed after item #3 due to guest <br />participation) – HR Director Young will work with <br />Commissioner Jewell to review applications for PW <br />Director; HR will being preparing for CDS Director <br />interviews – the Board authorized Director Young to work <br />with Chairman Berndt; discussed the idea of an internal <br />provisional appointment for Maintenance Director – <br />Director Young to bring more information back to the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />3) Review fiscal status for Misdemeanant Probation and <br />Commissioner recommendations – Probation Services <br />Director Holmes briefed the Board on financial trends and <br />shared his concerns. Some Probation staff members were <br />present to share their input. The Board determined they <br />would suspend rent payments starting in March and asked <br />Director Holmes to report back in a few weeks. They <br />stated the intent would be to repay the funds if <br />possible, and that a future discussion regarding fees <br />would be necessary. Additional direction provided to <br />maintain current staffing and work with Budget & Finance <br />Manager Pless. Director Young will add this to her <br />4/14/15 Study Session. <br /> <br />4) HR Updates – No specific project updates at this time. <br /> <br />5) Other business: None <br />
