01/03/2017 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AGENDA SESSION REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY 10:00 A.M. JANUARY 3, 2017 Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Tyler Tushkov, Service Desk Specialist; Marsha Weyand, Assessor; Erin Moore, Environmental Health Specialist; Darren Higashiyama, Operations Commander; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Bill Davis, System Administrator; Calvin Lee, Service Desk Specialist; Lucas Huck, Engineer; Kathy Jurgens, Finance System Manager; Andrew Drain, Application Development Manager; Jason Eklund, GIS Coordinator; Doug Fessler, Network Administrator; Zane Kinney, Web Developer; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Debbie Myers, Board Clerk/Receptionist; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project Manager and 1 member of the public. CALL TO ORDER Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board called the meeting to order. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board led the Pledge of Allegiance. NOMINATIONS FOR 2017 CHAIRMAN AND VICE-CHAIRMAN Commissioner Osiadacz nominated Commissioner Jewell to serve as Chairman of the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners for the year 2017. Commissioner O’Brien seconded the nomination. Nominations were closed. A unanimous ballot was cast for Commissioner Jewell to serve as Chairman for the year 2017. Chairman Jewell asked for nominations to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners for the year 2017. Commissioner O’Brien nominated Commissioner Osiadacz to serve as Vice-Chairman for 2017. Chairman Jewell seconded the nomination. Nominations were closed. A unanimous ballot was cast for Commissioner Osiadacz to serve as Vice- Chairman for the year 2017.
