2016-11-07 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 7, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Dave Wilson, <br />MERIT; Robin Read, Public Health Administrator; Joann Schaan, DD <br />Coordinator & members of the County Behavioral Health and Recovery <br />Advisory Board: Sharon Wings & Jackie Herum. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERV.-UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:00 p.m. Chairman O’Brien opened a Special Meeting to receive an <br />update from Dave Wilson, MERIT, regarding Behavioral Health Services <br />in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />Dave Wilson, MERIT gave a summary of updates since the last meeting <br />with the BoCC. He also announced that although they had been under <br />the impression that BARTH was closing, he has since learned that is <br />not the case and that BARTH will remain open in Ellensburg. He noted <br />that they are not open fulltime but do have office hours at their <br />location in town. He gave an update on Medicaid changes that will <br />be implemented on July 1, 2017. Mr. Wilson provided an update on the <br />assessment populations and an update on transport services for U/C <br />residents. He announced that they now offer childcare so when <br />parents are in treatment they can drop off their child and not have <br />that to interfere with the success of their treatment. <br /> <br /> <br />The Board expressed their appreciation for Mr. Wilson’s time and <br />expressed how beneficial they felt the updates have been. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:37 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
