Law & Justice Study Session Minutes <br />November 2, 2016 <br />Commissioners Auditorium <br />Meeting called to order at 0805 a.m. <br />Present: Commissioners Paul Jewell, Laura Osiadacz and Undersheriff Myers. <br />Discuss request from Kittitas PD for surplus vehicle — Commission Jewell asked what year the vehicle is and <br />Undersheriff Myers said 2007 and that we get $1,000 trade in thru FCI and Kittitas PD will give us $8,000. <br />Action taken: Board approves surplus of vehicle to KPD. <br />Request approval to submit request for budge transfer to replace commercial stove/oven in the jail — <br />Undersheriff Myers said monies will transfer from salaries. Undersheriff Myers advised that if there are <br />surplus funds from inmate welfare they could be applied to the purchase cost. Cost is $11,000 -$17,000. <br />Current oven has electric issues (its electric stove). <br />Action taken: Board approved the transfer of unused monies from salaries. <br />Other Business — Undersheriff Myers gave update on Range Cleanup — The Company went out to ECP. <br />Undersheriff was hoping for bid, but said he has not received it yet. He mentioned that Law and Justice <br />funding to help pay. Commissioner Jewell asked about the agreement with Hayward Hill Range. Per <br />Undersheriff Myers upper county Range club (Cascade) we will use it; long range is 300-600 preferable. <br />Undersheriff Myers said we would commit for membership. The next step is to talk with Tom Scott and <br />Legal. Commissioner Jewell asked will they have all lead out, yes per Undersheriff Myers. <br />Action taken: None. <br />Commissioner Jewell asked what the plan for courthouse training is. Undersheriff Myers said he will talk <br />with department heads or just do it again. He will pull management team in with table top.
