10/03/2016 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. OCTOBER 3, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien & Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz. Excused: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb, <br />Event Center Director & Chelsea Lierly, HR Rep. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> <br />Mickey Webb, Event Center Director explained that he has two <br />openings, one full-time and one that is 16-hours a week. He <br />explained that with the salary savings of not filling the positions <br />that he would like to create two temporary positions that would be <br />20-30 hours a week. He stated that he has two seasonal employees <br />that are interested and would like to switch them over to temps and <br />then post in mid-November or December. He explained that he had <br />spoken with Lisa Young, HR Director and she stated that he could do <br />a 60 – 90 day temporary position and then 30 day extensions would be <br />allowed with BoCC approval. <br /> <br />Chairman O’Brien and Commissioner Osiadacz both indicated that they <br />were in support of the proposal. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Obie O’Brien, Chairman <br />
