2019-07-02 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 10:30 A.M. JULY 2, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director/Interim Engineer. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING CHANGE ORDER PUBLIC WORKS <br />At 10:30 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss a <br />Change Order for the Manastash Bridge Project. <br /> <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim Engineer provided <br />information on Public Works Construction Contract Change Order <br />process. He reviewed a proposed Change order requested by Belsaas <br />and Smith and recommended denial of it as the County Engineer. <br /> <br />The Board asked Staff questions and for clarification of the <br />proposed Change Order. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve the Change Order for the <br />Manastash Bridge Project, as presented. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz felt it was not an easy decision to make and <br />would not be supporting it if there were multiple bidders on the <br />project.
