DECEMBER 17, 2019

Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.

Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, Public
Works Director/Interim Engineer; Liz Remeto, Finance Manager; Candie
Leader, Public Works Admin Assistant; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance
Manager and 3 members of the public.

SPECIAL MEETING AIRPORT BUDGET DISCUSSION COMMISSIONERS

At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss with
Public Works the Airport Budget Transition.

Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim County Engineer presented and
reviewed with the Board a listing of Airport Leases and the current
status of each. He questioned what the Board’s plan is for moving
forward once their employee is onboard and stated that Public Works is
willing to assist in the process to make it as easy and seamless as
possible. He reviewed things that need to take place prior to the new
Airport Manager coming on Board and options the Board has for FBO,
whether it be Midstate Aviation in the interim or if the Board chooses
to solicit for that but he stated it’s become an ongoing expectation of
the Airport Advisory Board to have eyes on the ground at Bowers Field.
He stated that there are certain services that the County needs to look
into and be able to provide such as a lounge and office space. Director
Cook talked to the Board about the benefits of using MRSC for services
and indicated that he would work on pricing for a trailer to keep out at
Bowers Field.

The Board thanked Director Cook for the update and asked that Public
Works work with the Auditor and Airport Manager through the first
quarter to transition everything over.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m.

KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD II KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
