KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE. 12(,lOM 7fil; WE.CT STTI R(1OM I OR _ ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM February 11, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Patti Johnson and Lisa Lawrence <br />Meeting called to order at 2:00 p.m. <br />Solid Waste Updates: Patti informed the Board that the Agreement for Easement and the <br />Easement were filed and that everything has been submitted to the City regarding the New <br />Transfer Station. <br />Patti informed the Board she was meeting with the Consultant later today to discuss comments <br />received on the RFP for operations of the Transfer Stations. <br />Patti informed the Board that Brown & Jackson purchased property off the Vantage Highway <br />and that she's received comments from concerned neighbors. Discussion was held on the process <br />that they will have to go through to get permitted. Patti informed the Board that the New Screen <br />for Ryegrass hadn't been delivered yet. <br />Request Board Approval and Chair's Signature on Notice of Intent to Continue/Obtain <br />Coverage Under the New General Permit for Biosolids Management: Patti request Board <br />approval and Chair's signature on the General Permit for Biosolids Management. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz moved to approve, Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion passes 3-0. <br />New Transfer Station Updates: Discussed under Solid Waste Updates above. <br />Other Project Updates: Patti informed the Board that she is still waiting on the final soil report <br />for the Parking Lot. <br />Patti informed the Board the one of the owners in Shadybrook didn't process their Title properly. <br />Patti informed the Board that once the transfer is processed, she will move forward with a bid <br />packet for abatement and demolition. <br />Discussion was held on looking into options for moving forward with a new Courthouse. Further <br />discussion included energy and cost analysis on current facilities, space constraints, parking <br />issues, public involvement and possibly setting up a Courthouse Project Committee. <br />Maintenance Updates: Patti informed the Board that she is hiring David back and she has been <br />working with Kady and they are willing to share maintenance employees if needed. <br />2020-02-11 MINUTES 1 <br />
