BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2020-_______ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT CENTER EVENT FACILITY <br />RENTAL FEE WAIVERS AND DISCOUNTS FOR KITTITAS COUNTY 4-H <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) has the authority to establish the <br />various rates, discounts, packages, policies, and procedures governing the use of the <br />KVEC; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to ratify such <br /> decisions by resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, KVEC has an interest in providing the facilities for the activities and events produced by <br />Kittitas County 4-H Program as it holds a significant benefit to enhancing the leadership <br />and development of our local youth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, those enhancements in turn directly impact and better the experiences of the annual <br />Kittitas County Fair while also elevating the amount of youth participation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, KVEC recommends offering waivers and discounts for rental fees for Kittitas County <br />WSU Extension 4-H program events and activities held at the Kittitas Valley Event Center <br />within the means of the attached contract agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, these waivers and discounts of fees are pre-negotiated and agreed upon in a facility use <br />contract with WSU Extension and approved by the Kittitas Valley Event Center Director; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners determine this to be in the public interest <br />of the community whereby the residents benefit from such actions; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby adopts the Kittitas Valley Event Center event waivers and discounts <br />for Kittitas County 4-H as described above and within the attached facility use agreement. <br /> <br />DATED this __________ day of ____________________, 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Vice-Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Commissioner
