BOARDOFCOUNTYCOMMISSIONERSCOUNTYOFKITTITASSTATEOFWASHINGTONRESOLUTIONNO.2020-ARESOLUTIONAUTHORIZINGEXECUTIONOFANINTERLOCALAGREEMENTBETWEENBUREAUOFLANDMANAGEMENTSPOKANEDISTRICTOFFICEANDTHEKITTITASCOUNTYSHERIFF'SOFFICEWHEREAS,RCW39.34,theInterlocalCooperationAct,providesformoreeffectiveandefficientuseofresourcesbyallowingagenciestoenterintocooperativeagreementstomakemutualuseoftheirabilities,andWHEREAS,theincreasedprotectionofpersonsandpropertyonthepubliclandsandroadsadministeredbytheUSDepartmentoftheInterior,BureauofLandManagement(BLM),throughcooperationbetweenKittitasCountySheriffsOfficeandBLM,bythegrantingandacceptanceofauthorityforBLMlawenforcementofficerstoenforceStateandlocallawsandregulationspursuanttothisAgreementisofmutualvalue;andWHEREAS,theSheriffcanandhasspeciallydeputizedaBLMenforcementofficerforsuchpurposes,andWHEREAS,thepartiesdesiretoformalizethetermsandconditionsapplicabletosuchspecialappointment,NOW,THEREFORE,BEITHEREBYRESOLVED,thattheBoardofCountyCommissionersofKittitasCounty,WashingtonauthorizestheexecutionoftheInterlocalAgreementbetweenBureauofLandManagementSpokaneDistrictOfficeandtheKittitasCountySheriffsOffice,andincorporatedhereinbythisreference,andwhichshallbeforthwithfiledwiththeKittitasCountyAuditorpursuanttoRCW39.34.040.ADOPTEDthisdayof2020.BOARDOFCOUNTYCOMMISSIONERSKITTITASCOUNTY,WASHINGTONChairmanVice-ChairCommissionerATTEST:APPRFAFORM:L2i3)DouglasR.MitceputyProsecutingAttorneyOClerkoftheBoard-JulieKjorsvikODeputyClerkoftheBoard-MandyBuchholzRESOLUTION
