KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 1, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve the Grant Agreement #K2871 between Kittitas <br />County and Washington State Department of Agriculture <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The proposed Grant Agreement #K2871 is between Kittitas <br />County and Washington State Department of Agriculture <br />for $150,000.00 with the contract dates 09-30-2019 through <br />09-29-2022. The application process started in February <br />2019 requesting the funds from Washington State <br />Department of Agriculture passed through United States <br />Department of Agriculture under the FY19 Specialty Crop <br />Block Grant Program. We received notice on September <br />18, 2019 that we were awarded the funds. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Agreement was reviewed by the Prosecutors office and <br />the Auditor’s office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize Board signature on a Grant <br />Agreement K2871 between Kittitas County and <br />Washington State Department of Agriculture <br /> <br />HANDLING: Judy will forward to WSDA for signature <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Agreement between Kittitas County WSDA <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Urban Eberhart, Chairman Pest & Disease Board <br /> Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br /> <br />
