Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />8/6/2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Boards approval for the Chairs signature on the Solid Waste Management Community litter <br />Cleanup Program Agreement. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste runs a youth litter crew to clean county roadways and public lands in Kittitas <br />County. The funding for this program comes from the Department of Ecology Solid Waste Management <br />Community Litter Cleanup program. <br /> <br />This biennium Kittitas County has been awarded $65,000 to continue running the youth litter crew and to do <br />community outreach on litter prevention. <br /> <br />At this time I would request Boards approval for the Director of Solid Waste to sign the agreement with the <br />Department of Ecology. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Prosecutors office, Department of Ecology and Solid Waste Department <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Boards approval for the Directors signature on the agreement with the Department of Ecology. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return to Solid Waste <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Johnson <br />
