KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 4, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Special Event Application for <br />Swiftwater Cellars to host their Summer Concert Series: <br />Battle of the Tribute Bands July 6, 2019; Tribute to Eric <br />Church, Carrie Underwood, & Kenny Chesney July 27, <br />2019; Tribute to Chicago August 24, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Commissioner’s office received 3 Special Event <br />Application’s from Colette Graham requesting permission <br />for Swiftwater Cellars to host their Summer Concert Series: <br />Battle of the Tribute Bands July 6, 2019; Tribute to Eric <br />Church, Carrie Underwood, & Kenny Chesney July 27, <br />2019; & Tribute to Chicago August 24, 2019. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours. <br />The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – Bond of Indemnity. <br />*The applicant did submit a $5,000.00 Check to the County <br />Treasurer’s Office. <br /> <br /> The permit fee has been paid and Staff has routed the <br />application and received a recommendation of approval from <br />the following departments: Sheriff, Public Health, Public <br />Works, Solid Waste, Prosecutor, Fire Marshal, (Specific <br />comments may be seen in the Department Memo’s attached). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Special Event Applications from Swiftwater <br />Cellars to hold: Battle of the Tribute Bands July 6, 2019; <br />Tribute to Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, & Kenny <br />Chesney July 27, 2019; & Tribute to Chicago August 24, <br />2019. <br /> <br /> Fire Marshal: A fire and life safety site inspection shall be <br />conducted on the premises prior to the admittance of the <br />general public, prior to each event. <br /> Auditor: Continue to collect/remit/report admissions tax <br />following each 2019 event. Swiftwater is current for 2018 <br />events. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Staff will notify the applicant of the Board’s decision & send <br />a copy to the Sheriff, Public Works, Public Health, Solid <br />Waste, Prosecutor, Fire Marshal, Code Enforcement, Auditor <br />and KITTCOM. <br />
