BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF KITTITAS
STATE OF WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION
NO.2019-~vf\
IN THE MATTER OF UPDATING THE BY-LAWS OF THE SECURITY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS:
WHEREAS:
WHEREAS:
WHEREAS:
Kittitas County Resolution 99-98 created the Courthouse Security Committee; and
In 2015 the By-laws were amended as to the frequency of regular county meetings to
once per month. This occurred during a time when security needs were being
addressed and multiple projects were being developed; and,
In 2016, the By-laws were amended to update membership (2016-19), and since new
structure adjustments were made to the Maintenance Department which require an
update to the membership section of the bylaws; and
The Security Committee has been successful at recommending and supporting the
implementation of security risk reduction efforts, and increasing awareness and
reporting capabilities; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The Security Committee believes that the by-laws should be
amended to formally separate the Solid Waste Director from the Maintenance Director, as shown in
Attachment A. FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED: Meetings be held quarterly as outlined in Attachment A.
This Resolution will nullify and replace all previous Resolutions that pertain to Security Committee
Membership Meetings.
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
ABSENT
