<br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2019-_____________ <br /> <br />IN THE MATTER OF UPDATING THE BY-LAWS OF THE SECURITY COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Resolution 99-98 created the Courthouse Security Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In 2015 the By-laws were amended as to the frequency of regular county meetings to <br />once per month. This occurred during a time when security needs were being <br />addressed and multiple projects were being developed; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In 2016, the By-laws were amended to update membership (2016-19), and since new <br />structure adjustments were made to the Maintenance Department which require an <br />update to the membership section of the bylaws; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Security Committee has been successful at recommending and supporting the <br />implementation of security risk reduction efforts, and increasing awareness and <br />reporting capabilities; and, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The Security Committee believes that the by-laws should be <br />amended to formally remove the Solid Waste Director, as shown in Attachment A.
