KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 5, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Appoint and /or Reappoint Matt Eslinger (#4); Jim <br />Hanson (#1) and Josh Quicksall (#5) to the Kittitas County <br />Noxious Weed Control Board & to authorize the Chair to sign <br />letters of appointment or reappointment. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Currently there are three members on the Noxious Weed Control <br />Board with terms coming to an end. These positions are held by a <br />Section #1, Section #4 & Section #5 resident. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On January 14, 2019, Staff received a letter from Todd Davis, <br />Noxious Week Director requesting the Board consider Mr. <br />Eslinger’s request for reappointment to the Noxious Weed <br />Control Board Section #4, as well as acknowledging/ appointing <br />Mr. Jim Hanson as he will be moving from #5 to #1 to fill a <br />vacancy and appointing Josh Quicksall to fill #5 . <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Consider the reappointment or appointment of Matt Eslinger <br />(#4); Jim Hanson (#1) and Josh Quicksall (#5) term to commence <br />3/1/2019 and to expire on February 28, 2023 and authorize Chair <br />signature on letters of reappointment or appointment. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Staff to send letters of reappointment or appointment to the <br />applicants and a copy to Todd Davis, NWCB. <br /> Staff to update County website. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Letters of support <br /> Letters notifying Mr. Hanson and Mr. Eslinger of their Terms <br />expiring. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II
