Kittitas County  <br />Board of County Commissioners  <br />  <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT  <br />  <br />Agenda Date:  January 15, 2019  <br />  <br />Action Requested:  Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chairman’s  <br />Signature on a Consolidated Communications Voice over Internet  <br />Protocol (VOIP) Services 911 Customer Notice and Acknowledgement  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />Background:  On September 4, 2018 the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners  <br />awarded the RFP for VoIP Phone Systems and Services to Ednetics.  <br />Converting phone lines from analog to VoIP moves the responsibility  <br />for providing 911 address locations from the phone company to the  <br />customer. Consolidated Communications is required by the FCC to  <br />obtain and keep a record of the county’s responsibilities  <br />acknowledgement.  <br />  <br />Interaction:  Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (SR# 45072)  <br />  <br />Recommendation:  Sign the attached resolution and acknowledgement.  <br />  <br />Handling:  Return 1 signed acknowledgement copy to Jim Goeben.  <br />  <br />Attachments:  Resolution  <br />Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) Services 911 Customer Notice and  <br />Acknowledgement  <br />  <br />Lead Staff:  Jim Goeben, IT Director
