One <br />with Michelle Hull, the second with Deborah King, third with Paul McBride and fourth with Candy Powers <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In 2018 the Superior Court entered into three Agreements for Indigent Defense Services. These agreements <br />were with Michelle Hull, Paul McBride and Candy Powers. In 2019 the same three attorneys have <br />requested contracts. Michelle Hull has requested a half contract with Deborah King picking up the other <br />half of the contract. In 2018, Michelle Hull contracted with Deborah King to cover cases under Ms. Hull's <br />contract. In 2019 they would like separate contracts. The number of cases and compensation is as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Powers $94,760 (7,896.67 a month) <br />100 felony cases (8.33 a month) <br />20 Juvenile (1.66 a month) <br /> <br />McBride $63,242 ($5270.17 a month) <br /> 67 felony cases (5.58 a month) <br /> 13 juvenile (1.08 a month) <br /> <br />Hull $63,242 ($5270.17 a month) <br /> 67 felony cases (5.58 a month) <br /> 13 juvenile (1.08 a month) <br /> <br />King $63,242 ($5270.17 a month) <br /> 67 felony cases (5.58 a month) <br /> 13 juvenile (1.08 a month) <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved the Agreements. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Request to approve four Agreements for Kittitas County Superior Court Indigent Defense Services.
