BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE TOWN OF SOUTH CLE SLUM, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON FOR THE HOUSING OF INMATES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage <br />from January 1, 2019 -December 31, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town of South Cle Elum, Washington wishes to designate the <br />Kittitas County Corrections Center as a place of confinement for the incarceration of one <br />or more inmates lawfully committed to its custody; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of accepting and keeping in its custody <br />such inmate(s) in the Kittitas County Corrections Center for a rate of compensation and <br />other terms and conditions mutually agreed upon by the parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the Interlocal <br />Agreement attached hereto have determined to enter into this Interlocal Agreement by <br />action taken at a regular meeting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement for the Housing of Inmates that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the Kittitas County Auditor pursuant <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />2018. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairwoman <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chair <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: APPRO)VE-0 AS ,O FORM: <br />Douglas R.
