h STA7'14, <br />State of Washington Contract No. K9561 <br />m <br />Department of Corrections Amendment No. 5 <br />This A\inn(endinni einot to the above referenced Contract Number is made the Department of Corrections, <br />an agency of the state of Washington, hereinafter referred to as "Department', and the Kittitas County, a political <br />subdivision of the state of Washington, hereinafter referred to as the County or the Contractor, for the purposes set <br />forth herein. <br />WHEREAS the purpose of this Contract Amendment is to extend the period of performance and amend the per diem <br />offender bed rate to reflect a 3% increase; <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms and conditions contained herein, or attached and incorporated and <br />made a part hereof, the Department and Contractor agree as follows: <br />The following Sections are amended, in part, as follows: <br />Section 2.1 Term. This Agreement supersedes all previous oral and written contracts and agreements <br />between the parties relating to the confinement, care, and treatment of Department Offenders. This Contract <br />commences on January 1, 2016, and continues through ((Peeember 31, 'n' Q)) December 31, 2020, unless <br />terminated by either party pursuant to this Agreement <br />Section 2.4 Per Diem Billing. The per diem rate is $ 63.65 per Department offender through December 31, <br />2018. Beginning Tanuary 1 2019 the per diem rate is $65.56 per Department offender through December 31 <br />2019 BeginningTanuary 1 2020 the per diem rate is $67.53 per Department offender, through December 31 <br />2020. [...] <br />Additions to this text are shown by underline and deletions by ((strike u4)). All other terms and conditions remain in <br />full force and effect.
