KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 20, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has a current Professional Services Operating <br />Agreement with Summit Food Services (Summit), formerly known as Consolidated Food <br />Management, Inc., in which they shall manage and operate the food service program for <br />the county’s Corrections center. Summit has expressed its desire to extend the period of <br />the agreement to December 31, 2019 as in a letter dated October 1, 2018. In this letter <br />they also indicated that meal rates will increase by 2.5% cost per meal based on the cost <br />of living increase according to the Consumer Price Index. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Undersheriff Clay Myers
