BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS, STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-______ <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING PURCHASE AND SALES AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN ASPARCEL 611033, US 97/ OLD HWY 10 SITE, ELLENSBURG, <br />WASHINGTON. <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas CountySolid Waste, started the site selection process in 2016, with the assistance of a consulting firm; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Solid Waste, held public meetings and received public comments regarding the selection of a new site for the Ellensburg transfer station; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County, received a recommendationfor the consultant, after reviewing the comments received from the public, that this site would be in the best interest of the County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County, after due notice, held a public hearing on September 4, 2018 to discuss authorization of such purchase, authorization of expenditure of funds for such purchase, <br />and whether such purchase was in the interest of the County; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Kittitas County shall purchase the property from the seller, as contemplated in the Purchase and Sales Agreement that is hereby ratified; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that , Commissioner Laura Osiadacz, is authorized to execute any further documents at closing, on behalf of Kittitas County, necessary to close the transaction; <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners authorizes the expenditure of funds necessary to purchase the property as previously negotiated and as contemplated <br />in the purchase and sale agreement; <br />DATED THIS _____ day of September 2018. <br />BOARD OF COUNTYCOMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />________________________________________ Laura Osiadacz - Chairman <br />________________________________________Obie O’Bien - Vice Chairman <br />________________________________________ Cory Wright- Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br />______________________________ <br />Clerk of the Board <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />_____________________________ <br />Douglas R.
