KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 21, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Appoint Applicant's to the Upper County Traffic Task <br />Force <br />BACKGROUND: The application outreach process for the Upper County <br />Traffic Task Force recently closed. A total of 14 <br />applications have been received. The solicitation suggests <br />that the Board will appoint: two representatives from the <br />following: Westside/Nelson Road, Upper Peoh/Thorp <br />Prairie, local business owners, and one each from WSDOT, <br />the Cities of Cle Elum, South Cle Elum and Roslyn. Under <br />Sheriff Meyers is representing the Sheriffs Office. <br />The maximum number for the task force (from the <br />solicitation) is eleven. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint members and direct staff solicit WSDOT for <br />participation. <br />HANDLING: None <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Applications <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
