Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />August 21, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes the Kittitas County Public Health Interim <br />Administrator’s signature on the MOU between DOH and KCPHD (Group B Ordinance). <br />(Effective Dates: Upon signature- Upon termination) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The purpose of this agreement is to acknowledge that KCPHD has adopted Ordinance No. 2018- <br />011 (ordinance regulating Group B public water systems). The ordinance is as stringent as the <br />Group B Rule and KCPHD is fully responsible for the regulation of Group B public water <br />systems within its jurisdiction as provided by WAC 246-291-030 (a). The mutual agreement also <br />discusses the exchange of data and implementation between DOH and KCPHD. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on August 1, 2018. <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on August 10, 2018. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes the Kittitas County Public Health Interim <br />Administrator’s signature on the MOU between DOH and KCPHD (Group B Ordinance). <br />(Effective Dates: Upon signature- Upon termination) <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />N/A <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Kasey Knutson <br />
