<br />A WARDING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO CENTURY WEST
<br />ENGINEERING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SUPPORTING BOWERS FIELD
<br />AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PLAN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
<br />WHEREAS: Public Works (PW) recently completed an update to the Airport Master Plan at
<br />Bowers Field; and
<br />WHEREAS: Completion of the master plan update resulted in an Airport Capital Improvement
<br />Plan at Bowers Field; and
<br />WHEREAS: Prior to constructing any airport improvements an environmental assessment (EA)
<br />is required supporting the 2018-2022 improvement plan; and
<br />WHEREAS: Following a competitive selection process Century West Engineering (CW) was
<br />selected as the preferred consultant conducting the required EA; and
<br />WHEREAS: PW recently completed negotiations with CW and the final scope of work and fee
<br />has been accepted by the Federal Aviation Administration for funding;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
<br />best interest of the public, does hereby award the professional services agreement to Century
<br />West Engineering for environmental services at Bowers Field supporting the 2018-2022 Airport
<br />Capital Improvement Plan.
