BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2018-} J ~ <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING PREVIOUSLY PASSED RESOLUTION 2018-007 <br />AWARDING FUNDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW AND JUSTICE <br />COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1/lOrn OF 1 % SALES TAX <br />RESERVES <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly scheduled <br />meeting on December 20, 2017, and voted unanimously to approve the original funding <br />recommendations as shown on the copy of Resolution# 2018-007 attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS: This expenditure shall be made from the 1/10 th of 1 % sales tax reserve account <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to foster <br />cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects within Kittitas <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding is to be made available January 1, 2018 except where noted as available <br />upon approval of this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: The Cle Elum Police Department was originally awarded $1,672.38 by the <br />Council to purchase one mobile data computer, but was able to find another vendor and a <br />different style of ruggedized laptop and were able to purchase four much needed MDCs for <br />nearly the same amount; and <br />WHEREAS: The Cle Elum Police Department was able to pay the difference of $52.30 from <br />other funds; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners <br />hereby amends the funding recommendation as made by the Kittitas County Law and Justice <br />Council to read as follows, and this expenditure shall be made from the 1/10 th of 1 % sales tax <br />reserve account. <br />18-2 Cle Elum Police Dept. <br />Four Mobile Data Computers <br />$1,671.38 <br />ADOPTED this ~ay of~2018
