KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 3, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of the <br />Intergovernmental Agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service Regarding Adding <br />Immigration Customs Enforcement as a Rider to the Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) have <br />had a standing agreement regarding the housing of USMS detainees at Kittitas County <br />Corrections Center since 2010. This serves as notice of the addition of a rider to the <br />current agreement, #85-10-00004, allowing Immigration Customs Enforcement to place <br />detainees in the Kittitas County Corrections facility at a rate of $63.00 per day. No other <br />changes to the USMS contract are being made. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of the <br />Intergovernmental Agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service Regarding Adding <br />Immigration Customs Enforcement as a Rider to the Agreement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: No handling. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Commander Hoctor
