BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED RECORDS MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE <br />RESOLUTION No. 2018-______ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County officials and employees are responsible for capturing <br />records that document the official work of the county and retaining them in accordance with <br />retention schedules and guidelines approved by the Washington State Archives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Washington State Archives has published Requirements for the <br />Destruction of Non-Archival Paper Records after Imaging “Scanning and Tossing” guidance <br />version 1.1 May 15, 2012; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Kittitas County Board has previously directed the creation of a <br />Records Management Committee to support its efforts pertaining to the County’s obligations <br />with regard to creation, capture, and retention of Public Records; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that Committee has researched and drafted a proposed set of revisions to <br />the existing procedure to reflect the standards set by Washington State Archives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board concurs in those proposed revisions, and desires to have this <br />procedure implemented and used as the basis for training of county employees; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington adopts the attached Records Management <br />Procedure effective May 15, 2018 and directs Information Technology to place the attached <br />Procedure on CAMAS, the Kittitas County Intranet. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of 2018. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ATTEST: <br /> _________________________________________ <br />_____________________ Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Julie A.
