BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2018-Or:J-<g <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING PREVIOUSLY PASSED RESOLUTION 2018-007 <br />AWARDING FUNDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW AND JUSTICE <br />COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1/lOrn OF 1% SALES TAX <br />RESERVES <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly scheduled <br />meeting on December 20, 2017, and voted unanimously to approve the below described funding <br />recommendation; and <br />WHEREAS : This expenditure shall be made from the 1/10th of 1 % sales tax reserve account <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to foster <br />cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects within Kittitas <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding is to be made available January 1, 2018 except where noted as available <br />upon approval ofthis resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: This amendment is based upon the fact that the Kittitas County SAR no longer <br />has the funds necessary to cover the difference between the grant award and the cost of <br />purchasing and installing a replacement generator into the Sheriff Office's Mobile Command <br />vehicle, known as MC61, that difference being $2,623.77; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsible responsive bidder was awarded the bid out of three bids <br />obtained; and <br />WHEREAS: The Sheriff's Office owns the vehicle known as MC61 and has the funding <br />available to cover the expenditure of the needed generator to replace the current worn out <br />generator. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners <br />here by amends th e fo llowing funding recommendation as made by the Kittitas Coun ty Law and <br />Justice Council and this expenditure shall be made from the 1/10th of 1 % sales tax reserve <br />account. <br />18-5 Kittitas County SAR Sheriff's Office $5,000.00 <br />Replace Generator in MC61 · <br />ADOPTED this /:;, -f1, day of /(l ~~Ol8
