BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -i l-Li <br />RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL <br />PRODUCTS FOR 2018 AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO <br />SIGN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on October 17, 2017, to <br />furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2018; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on November 2,2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Kittitas <br />County Public Works and six (6) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of <br />Envirotech Services Inc. for Item #1 -Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium <br />Chloride; for Item #2 -Corrosion Inhibited Calcium Chloride and for Item #5- <br />RoadSaver -Soil Stabilizer; the responsible bid of Salt Distributors, Inc. for Item <br />#3 -Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the responsible bid of <br />Pioneer Commodities for Item #4 -Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium <br />Chloride; be accepted for Snow & Ice Control Products for 2018; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2018 Snow & Ice Control Products to <br />Envirotech Services Inc. for Item #1 -Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride; for Item <br />#2 -Corrosion Inhibited Calcium Chloride and for Item #5 -RoadSaver -Soil Stabilizer; the <br />responsible bid of Salt Distributors, Inc. for Item #3 -Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; <br />and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for Item #4 -Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid <br />Sodium Chloride, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by <br />said bidder(s). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the <br />contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />DATED this 21st day of November, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITT C UN TY, WASHINGTON <br />Attest: <br />ABSENT <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br />~~& <br />Obie O'Brien, Commissioner
