BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -03B <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S SIGNATURE FOR THE <br />PROFESSIONAL CIVIL, STRUCTURAL, AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />CONTRACTS AND TO AUTHORIZE LIMITED PUBLIC WORKS SIGNATURE AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS: The County seeks Professional Civil, Structural, and Construction Engineering <br />Services to supplement the abilities of the Public Works staff; and <br />WHEREAS: The County followed the guidance of RCW 39 .80 throughout the advertisement <br />and selection process for said services ; and <br />WHEREAS: The County has selected KPFF, KPG, and Jacobs Engineering Firms to provide <br />these services ; and <br />WHEREAS: The County will enter into a Local Agency Contract with each firm and will proceed <br />by Task Order Agreements for identified work which will describe the task and <br />cost prior to proceeding with a given project; and <br />WHEREAS: The Director and/or County Engineer signature authority to $50,000 will aid the <br />departments maintaining infrastructure and facilities to more responsively serve <br />the public; and <br />WHEREAS: Task Order Agreements in excess of $50 ,000 will be approved by resolution of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to sign the consultant <br />agreements . <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the Director <br />and County Engineer of Public Works signature authority for task orders totaling less than <br />$50,000 per project. <br />DATED this 7th day of February, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY , WASHINGTON <br />~ Paul Jewe ll, Chairman <br />La~, Vice-Chairman <br />Obie O'Brien , Commissioner
