BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2018-_______ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT CENTER RENTAL AND USE <br />FEE SCHEDULE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Director of the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) has the authority to establish the <br />various rates, discounts, packages, policies, and procedures governing the use of the <br />KVEC; and <br />WHEREAS, the residents of Kittitas County benefit from having published rate structures for KVEC <br />facilities available for use; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to establish or <br /> affirm such rate structures by resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a rate structure that is established by resolution protects the public from preferential and <br />arbitrary pricing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a rate/fee structure is currently in place for KVEC and the 2018 standard discounted and <br />packaged rates are attached hereto and incorporated by reference; and <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing is scheduled for February 20, 2018 for public comment; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby adopts the Kittitas Valley Event Center Rental and Use Fee Schedule, <br />which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Five percent (5%) of each rental fee collected shall be placed <br />into a reserve fund for building and maintenance at the KVEC. <br />DATED this __________ day of ____________________, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Vice-Chair <br /> <br /> __________________________________________ <br /> Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />☐ Clerk of the Board <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board
