KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 6, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has a current Professional Services Operating <br />Agreement with Summit Food Services (Summit), formerly known as Consolidated Food <br />Management, Inc., in which they shall manage and operate the food service program for <br />the county’s Corrections center. Summit has expressed its desire to extend the period of <br />the agreement to December 31, 2018 as in an email dated February 21, 2018 (see <br />attached). Also in this email, they indicated that meal rates will remain the same as in <br />2017. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Commander Paula Hoctor.
