KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 15, 2016 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve an Agreement for the Receipt of Grant Funds <br /> from the State of Washington Department of Agriculture to Improve <br /> the Rodeo Arena Footing. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In November of 2015, the Kittitas Valley Event Center Director <br />submitted applications to the State of Washington Department of <br />Agricultural for health and safety grant funding. On January 8th of <br />2016, the Event Center Director was notified of the partial funding of <br />one of those applications. Funding has been approved for the <br />modification of the Rodeo Arena riding surface. This is a full funding <br />for this portion of the original application. The State of Washington, <br />Department of Agriculture prepared the attached agreement and it was <br />forward to the Prosecutor’s office for review. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has reviewed the grant contract and approved <br />it under review# 32523.
