KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 15, 2016 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve the Resolution of Declaration of Emergency for the water <br /> line repair at the Event Center. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On the weekend of January 15, 2016, the maintenance staff at the <br />Event Center found that the water was not working in the Grandstands <br />meeting rooms. After trying to identify the reason for the outage and <br />including the Maintenance Department and the City of Ellensburg. <br />The Directors’ of the Maintenance Department and Event Center <br />instructed staff to contact a plumber to determine the issue and repair. <br />Time constraints due to contractual obligations for Event Center users <br />did not allow for bidding and plumber that had been used in the past <br />was contacted. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Both the Event Center and Maintenance Department Directors <br />consulted on this issue with staff. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution of Declaration of Emergency for the water <br />line repair at the Event Center. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Auditor <br /> Copy - Director, Kittitas Valley Event Center <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution – 2016 Water Outage.pdf <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mickey Webb, Director, Kittitas Valley Event Center <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
