KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2017 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve the Amendment to Lease with Central <br />Washington University Adding Limited Fixed Base <br />Operator Services at Bowers Field <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) <br />directed staff prepare a lease amendment to Central <br />Washington University's (CWU) lease of the County's <br />main hangar facility at Bowers Field. The BOCC desires <br />receiving limited FBO services from CWU solicited from a <br />recent Request for Proposal advertising process. The cost <br />of the CWU service package is $30,500 per year; up from <br />$20,000 per year from a similar package provided by <br />Midstate Aviation. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the lease amendment with CWU adding limited <br />FBO services. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Lease Amendment with CWU <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
