<br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) sign a <br />Resolution allocating $154,439.00 of Hotel/Motel Funds towards the <br />2018 Lodging Tax Fund Grants Program for Special Events and <br />Projects. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Cities of Ellensburg, Roslyn and Cle Elum along with Kittitas <br />County have an Interlocal Agreement in place to create a consolidated <br />lodging tax grant process for special events and projects. The <br />Consolidated Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Work Group met in <br />an open public meeting on November 17, 2017 and deliberated to <br />reach a final funding recommendation to be forwarded to each <br />entity’s legislative body for final approval. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Consolidated Work Group only recommended expending <br />$197,869.00 of the $209,400.00 designated funds thereby reducing <br />each participating entities share. Kittitas County designation is <br />reduced to $154,439.00; Ellensburg’s designation is reduced to <br />$34,070.00; Cle Elum’s designation is reduced to $7,488.00; and <br />Roslyn’s designation is reduced to $1,872.00. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution allocating $154,439.00 of Kittitas County <br />Hotel/Motel funds towards the 2018 Lodging Tax Events/Projects <br />Grants as listed in the Resolution. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – LTAC Clerk <br /> Copy – Judy Pless <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Draft Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Debbie Myers, LTAC Clerk <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
