KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and <br />maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles <br />purchased in 2017. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is purchasing bumper to bumper <br />service warranties and extended maintenance warranties that will save the county money <br />over the life expectancy of the vehicles (five years for the SUVs and six years for the <br />trucks). These plans cover the costs of all maintenance and repairs, excluding tires and <br />collisions. We are proactively tracking and documenting the cost savings for our vehicle <br />fleet. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved <br />this set of warranty contracts. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and <br />maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles <br />purchased in 2017. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return one set of originals to the Sheriff’s Office to provide to the <br />vendor for their records. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br /> <br />
