Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />July 31, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes a resolution to authorize the renewal of the <br />Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Kittitas County Public Health and City of Cle Elum. <br />(Effective dates: Upon Signature and End date: October 3, 2022) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Public Health and City of Cle Elum outlines <br />the responsibilities of each party in order to provide sharps disposal kits for the safe and <br />convenient disposal of sharps to reduce the risk of sharps related injuries in the community. The <br />renewal will be for a period of 5 years instead of 1. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Board of Health: N/A <br />Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on July 17, 2017. <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on July 20, 2017. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes a resolution to authorize the renewal of the <br />Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Kittitas County Public Health and City of Cle Elum. <br />(Effective dates: Upon Signature and End date: October 3, 2022) <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Clerk of the Board send notice of approval to the Auditor’s Office. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Liz Whitaker <br />
