Kittitas County <br />Auditor <br />Agenda Staff Report <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />08/01/2017 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request the Board of County Commissioners to adopt the resolution adopting the rate for Cost per Deputy <br />for the Budget year 2017. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Kittitas County Sheriff currently bills outside agencies and other organizations for the cost of law <br />enforcement services. The Sheriff has developed a plan in accordance with the United States Office of <br />Management & Budget, 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit <br />Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance), for the billing rate for the Cost of a Deputy, and; <br />The rate was established using the 2017 Budget (not actuals). The calculation is divided into two rates, non-federal and <br />federal. The calculated rates are: <br />Regular hours non-federal $63.00 Overtime hours non-federal $94.00 <br />Regular hours federal $54.00 Overtime hours federal $82.00 <br />The County Auditor has certified the Cost Allocation Plan at the above rates. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Request the Board approve the Resolution adopting the Kittitas County Sheriff Cost per Deputy for the <br />Budget year 2017 <br />HANDLING: <br />Copy of Resolution to Judy Pless <br />Copy of Resolution to Heather Seibert, Sheriff's office <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Judy Pless <br />
