KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 4, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of Kittitas, <br />Washington for the housing of inmates. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Roslyn and Kittitas <br />County for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2017-December 31, 2018. The daily <br />rate is to be $61.25/day in 2017 and $62.50/day in 2018 (approximately a 2% increase). <br /> <br />There was a miscommunication with the city and they requested a change to the billing <br />process per the contract after the BOCC had already approved the contract. This was not <br />the fault of the city. KCSO CFM Seibert is resubmitting the Resolution and Interlocal <br />Agreement unchanged with the exception of the City’s billing address. The interlocal <br />agreement approved by Res 2017-015 is invalid and will not be entered into. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of Kittitas, <br />Washington for the housing of inmates. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return both originals to KCSO for signatures.
