KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 03, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Acknowledge Levy Certificates from County <br />Municipalities, Cemetery Districts, Fire Districts and <br />Schools. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: RCW 84.52.020 requires taxing districts to conduct a <br />Public Hearing, Pass a Resolution and submit a <br />Certification notice to the County Legislative Authority <br />outlining the Levy amount for the Taxing District. <br /> <br /> The following Municipalities, Cemetery Districts, Fire <br />Districts and Schools have met, passed a resolution and <br />submitted a Levy Certificate to the Kittitas County <br />Commissioners with a copy to the Assessor’s office: <br />Cemetery District #1, City of Cle Elum, City of Roslyn, <br />City of Ellensburg, Town of South Cle Elum, City of <br />Kittitas, Fire Dist. #1, Fire Dist. #2, Fire Dist. #3, Fire <br />Dist. #4, Fire Dist. #6 , Fire Dist. #7 , Fire Dist.#8, <br />Snoqualmie Pass Fire & Rescue, Hospital Dist. #1, <br />Hospital Dist.#2, Hospital Dist.#2 EMS, Damman School, <br />Easton School, Thorp School, Ellensburg School, Kittitas <br />School, Cle Elum-Roslyn School. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Assessor’s office received copy of Levy Certificates <br />provided by Taxing Districts <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge Levy Certifications/ <br />(Resolutions/Ordinances) and sign Resolution <br /> <br />HANDLING: Copy of Resolution to Assessor’s office <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Levy Certifications, Amendments, <br /> Resolutions/Ordinances <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Debbie Myers, Clerk <br /> Commissioner’s Office
