Kittitas County  <br />Board of County Commissioners  <br />  <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT  <br />  <br />Agenda Date:  January 16, 2018  <br />  <br />Action Requested:  Request approval to advertise a Request for Proposals for Voice over  <br />Internet Protocol (VoIP) Phone Systems and Services  <br />   <br />  <br />Background:  During the July 31, 2017 IT Study Session the board asked Mr. Goeben to  <br />draft a request for proposals (RFP) for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP)  <br />phone systems and services to replace the county’s phone and voicemail  <br />systems from two telephone companies with one unified communication  <br />system for all current and future facilities. The IT Department drafted the  <br />RFP with input from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Accounting, Risk  <br />Management, and the Management Team.  <br />  <br />Interaction:  Information Technology Committee  <br />Prosecuting Attorney’s Office  <br />Accounting  <br />Risk Management  <br />Management Team  <br />  <br />Recommendation:  Approve advertisement of Request for Proposals  <br />  <br />Handling:  No handling necessary  <br />  <br />Attachments:  Request for Proposal  <br />Public Notice  <br />Web Notice  <br />  <br />Lead Staff:  Jim Goeben, IT Director
