KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 16, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Appoint Patsy Tenney to the Kittitas County Fair <br />Board. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: BoCC Staff advertised Board Committees & Commission vacancies <br />in June and September of 2017. Applications were received and <br />routed to the appropriate Clerks for each Board. Ms. Tenney <br />submitted her application on 9/26/2017. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On January 5, 2018 Staff received a letter of support from Fair <br />Board Secretary/Treasurer Roylene Crawford, indicating that the <br />Fair Board met on January 4, 2018 and conducted interviews for <br />all applications received, and the Fair Board was in support of Ms. <br />Tenney being appointed. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Ms. Tenney to the vacant Fair Board seat for a 3 year term <br />effective immediately and ending on 12/31/2019 (completing a <br />previous member’s term). <br /> <br />HANDLING: Update County Website <br /> Notify Ms. Tenney & Fair Board <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Application P.
